Located near the historic center of Ettenheim, this restaurant with an Italian cook - husband of the owner - has proved to be of excellent quality. We relied on the recommended tasting menu and were absolutely satisfied on all fronts. 3 excellently presented, very tasty and quality dishes. Appetizer, meat dish (with truffles) and dessert proved to be up to the standard of an Italian restaurant, seasoned with the pleasant atmosphere of a German Gasthaus. If you add wine and a liqueur you will well exceed 60 euros each, but the quality is undeniable. In the opinion of the residents, the best club in the area. We confirm.

We were in Ettenheim for a few days in August and stayed 3 nights at the Gasthaus Adler. The rooms are modern, but furnished to match the region. The beds are very comfortable, we had a good night's sleep. With our room key we could also unlock the back door to the courtyard so that we could come and go at any time. At the yard there are also a few parking spaces where we could park our car free of charge. We liked the lovingly prepared breakfast best. From quark and freshly cut fruit salad to bread and rolls with cheese, sausage and various spreads, muesli and differently prepared eggs, we could get everything that belongs to a good breakfast. We could also order as many juices, tea, coffee etc. as we wanted. No breakfast buffet that we had before can compete with this breakfast. We would have liked to try a meal in the restaurant, but unfortunately we couldn't do it due to lack of time as we already had other appointments. But we will certainly make up for that on a later visit.

Great quality at decent prices, in the preparation of the dishes but also in the quality of the service. Very well run restaurant / hotel. Great food and great service. Sometimes it was a long time with the drinks but it was also quite well attended.

Had the dish of the day (chicken curry with rice and broccoli) and every bite was a delight. Nice staff and enough space inside and outside. 5+ stars

Beautiful place. Spotlessly clean. So spacious with literally everthing you need for your stay. And a 55 inch TV. Need i say more? 😃👍👍👌👌👌

Very friendly local staff, good quality and quantity of food. Very nice atmosphere, located exactly in the historic town center, within walking distance from several parking spots. Nice place to stop for having a snack or dinner and get a drink or two.

It took long for our food to arrive, my plate arrived 10 minutes before my wife's. A big no no. My wife had a schnitzel with wild mushrooms, it was ok, my dish was Schnitzel with french fries, the underside was black, spots on top also. When i commented about that, all i got was an 'ok' and an almost visible shrug. Not recommended.

An amazing hotel, with wonderful staff.

Food is great and very friendly staff! The king bed is two singles pushed together and come apart easily, so can't really sleep in the middle. Other than that all perfect!
